Primary Teaching Assistant

Educate Group is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant to work full-time on a temporary supply basis within a school in Saltney.

You don’t necessarily need to have worked as a Teaching Assistant before.

QUALIFICATIONS ARE NOT ESSENTIAL – TRAINING CAN BE PROVIDED!

For us, your personality, work ethic and life skills can be just as important as qualifications. If you have experience in care, childcare, youth work, support work or working with children and young people, we’d love to hear from you.

Experience supporting children or adults with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) would be particularly welcomed, including ASD, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, emotional and behavioural needs and other additional support needs.

What will you be doing?

As a Teaching Assistant, you could be:

  • Supporting individual pupils and small groups
  • Helping children engage with classroom activities
  • Supporting the class teacher with lessons and resources
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
  • Providing reassurance, encouragement and emotional support
  • Helping create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Following the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures

Requirements

You will need to be willing to complete the necessary compliance checks, including an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS and EWC registrationEducate Group can support you through this process.
