We’re looking for a dedicated and hardworking Caretaker to join a friendly primary school in Flintshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive school team, helping to keep the school safe, secure and running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the security of the school premises (including key-holder responsibilities and alarm checks).
• Carrying out minor repairs and handy person duties (e.g. painting, small improvements, fitting shelves etc)
• Supporting the cleaning team and general site duties
• Managing deliveries, waste and recycling, and keeping the school well presented
• Working as part of a team and supporting the smooth running of the school

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous caretaking or equivalent experience (desirable)
• No formal qualifications required
• Goo attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Health & safety awareness and the ability to work independently

Safeguarding requirements

This role involves regulated activity with children and young people. The successful candidate will require an enhanced DBS check with children’s barred-list information, evidence of the right to work in the UK and all other relevant safer-recruitment checks.
