About the Role

Due to continued growth within the Engineering department, our client is seeking a motivated and innovative Advanced Technical Trainer to deliver high-quality training and assessment for Agricultural Engineering apprentices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality apprenticeship training that meets awarding body and industry standards.
  • Plan and deliver engaging theory and practical sessions that motivate and inspire learners.
  • Assess apprentices’ skills and knowledge through both workshop-based and workplace assessments.
  • Carry out vocational assessments on and off site across national apprenticeship programmes.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Engineering department to share expertise and support curriculum delivery.
  • Build positive relationships with apprentices and employer partners, providing guidance and support throughout the apprenticeship journey.
  • Maintain the highest standards of health and safety, safeguarding, and compliance.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Proven industry experience within Agricultural Engineering.
  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Strong coaching, training, mentoring or teaching skills (a teaching qualification is desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage learners and employers.
  • Good knowledge of current industry standards, health and safety legislation, and apprenticeship requirements.
  • A genuine passion for developing future talent within the agricultural engineering sector.

What We Offer

Our client offers an excellent benefits package, including:

  • 47 days’ annual leave, including Bank Holidays and Christmas closure.
  • A generous pension scheme with employer contributions of up to 28.68%.
  • Funded teacher training worth up to £7,000 for those looking to gain a teaching qualification.
  • Enhanced maternity, adoption and sick pay.
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Pluxee reward scheme.
  • Free on-site gym membership.
  • On-site Starbucks, restaurants and cafés.
  • Access to a wide range of discounts and benefits with local businesses.
  • Specialist engineering equipment that reflects modern industry practice.

Recruitment Process

This is a permanent position with our client, and the successful candidate will be employed directly by them.

Educate Group is managing the recruitment process on the client’s behalf. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview with the client as part of the selection process.

If you’re passionate about Agricultural Engineering and would like to play a key role in developing the next generation of engineers, we’d love to hear from you.
