Cover Supervisor

Educate Group is recruiting confident, reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Telford. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with young people and want to gain valuable experience in education.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure pupils remain on task.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Support pupils with their work and encourage engagement.
• Follow school policies and procedures.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour during lessons.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Confident classroom management and behaviour management skills.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• A professional, adaptable and proactive approach.
• A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one, subject to requirements.
