Cover Supervisor

Description

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Cover Supervisors in the Shrewsbury area and surrounding areas. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive and productive learning atmosphere in secondary schools. Your key responsibilities will include supervising students in the absence of their regular teacher, ensuring the completion of pre-prepared work, and managing classroom behaviour.

As a Cover Supervisor you will:

· Supervise classes and deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of a teacher

· Ensure that students are engaged, motivated and on task

· Manage any behaviour issues that may arise

· Follow school policies and procedures

· Maintain accurate records of student progress

Requirements:

· A degree or Level 3 qualification with solid standards of literacy and numeracy

· Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

· Experience working or volunteering with children or young people

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· The ability to manage behaviour effectively

· A positive attitude and a willingness to learn

· Flexibility and adaptability
