Nursery Assistant
Hours- 8 hours per day Monday-Friday, No weekends
Would you like to join our friendly team as a Nursery Assistant? Children in Nursery learn through creative play, absorbing phonics through art, maths through music, speech via cooking, and science in outdoor play. The curriculum is designed to teach children amazing skills using educational, fun, interesting and confidence-building methods. We’re actively looking for caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistants to support children’s growth and development in Nursery Schools in the area. If you love working with young children, enjoy creating a fun and safe environment, and are passionate about early years education, we’d love to hear from you! The ideal candidate will have a warm, caring attitude alongside great communication and team work skills.

About the Role:
Your role is to support the Nursery Teacher in providing high-quality care and education to young children, promoting their wellbeing and development in a safe and nurturing environment.
Requirements of a Nursery Assistant:
- Ideally, have a relevant Level 2 or 3 CACHE qualification; although, no qualifications are required. Good literacy and numeracy standards are needed.
- Experience working with young children would be beneficial
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage behaviour effectively
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Flexibility and adaptability
Responsibilities of a Nursery Assistant:
- Support the nursery teacher in delivering activities that meet the needs of young children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to children who need extra help with their learning, including those with additional learning needs
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of a safe and stimulating learning environment,
- Promote positive behaviour management strategies
