Graduate Cover Supervisor

Do you want to see if teaching is right for you? What if you could get to use your Degree and develop your skills towards becoming a Secondary Teacher?

Teacher training is a considerable investment, both in terms of time and money. Pressure will be on you from the start, and with little or no classroom-based experience, how will you cope with planning lessons, reflecting on practice and providing quality feedback to pupils? Don’t even get me started on managing classroom behaviour!

Don’t panic! This is where working as a Cover Supervisor can help! We use our 85+ years of experience as teachers and senior leaders to help ensure you’re ready for the classroom.

You will need a child-based reference commenting on your ability to work, coach or volunteer with children. If you don’t have any referable experience, we have enough opportunities to keep you busy until you do.

We can provide you with free regular training and paid opportunities in secondary schools across the area. You have the freedom to work as little or as often as you like, and what’s more, you can apply for your initial teacher training with Educate ITT through one of their link schools.
